The Oregon Humane Society in Salem does provide end-of-life services by appointment. The cost for euthanasia varies depending on your pet's weight: 

EUTHANASIA (No cremation)	COST (Includes bag)
Small Animals (rodents, guinea pigs)	$15
Cats, Rabbits, Ferrets	$67
Dogs up to 20 lbs.	$82
Dogs 21-40 lbs.	$112
Dogs 41 – 120 lbs.	$134
Dogs over 121 lbs.	$245

 

Please note that we do not allow owner presence during end-of-life services at our Salem clinic. 

 

We have several options for aftercare for your pet. There is no additional charge if you would like to take your pet home for private burial. We partner with West Coast Pet Memorial to offer both communal and private cremation services for an additional fee. After your appointment you’ll be guided through a secure online process and have 72 hours to review options from the comfort and privacy of your home. Oregon Humane Society coordinates directly with West Coast Pet Memorial to arrange transportation of your beloved pet from OHS into their care. Your pet’s cremains and keepsakes can be picked up from their care center or can be mailed to your home at no additional charge.
