Thank you for contacting the Oregon Humane Society regarding dental care for your pet. The Community Veterinary Hospital in North Portland does perform dental procedures. An initial consultation is scheduled first to establish care at our hospital and allow the doctors to check the condition of the teeth. Following the consult, we will provide you an estimate and your pet will be added to our dental wait list. Unfortunately, we only have one doctor that preforms dentals and it can take up to 4-6 months for the actual dental procedure to be scheduled. So, for very time sensitive concerns, it may be best to look into other options.
In regards to pricing, we have a very broad range for the estimated cost based on the pet's weight. This does include the exam, full dental cleaning, bloodwork, x-rays and any possible extractions.

Our hospital does offer financial assistance in the form of a discount for individuals who qualify. Whatever discount you are approved for will be applied to all in-house services. Generally, the discount is anywhere from 15-25%. To learn more about how to qualify please visit our website here.
