Thank you so much for reaching out to Oregon Humane Society with your offer to help pets and people affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles.  

We want to reassure you that we are actively coordinating our support efforts in collaboration with our national response partners, including the ASPCA, Greater Good Charities, and Best Friends Animal Society. We have also connected with the Pasadena Humane Society to offer our assistance.  

It’s important to note that the fires are still actively burning, which makes it challenging to fully assess the needs in the area. Response and recovery from such a significant disaster will unfold over an extended period and OHS is committed to offering help wherever it is most needed. 

At this time, we currently do not have any confirmed transport plans in place, but we will post any updates on our website and social channels. We have also been informed that emergency animal sheltering and technical rescue needs are being addressed locally for now. However, this could change, but we will keep the public informed.
