Vaccine Schedule

All vaccines are given subcutaneously except for Bordetella, which is an ORAL vaccine.

According to the manufacturer of our vaccines. Boosters that occur outside of the 6 weeks may need to be started over. For puppies and kittens, if the last vaccine occurs after 16 weeks, they do not need to start the series over if they’ve had at least 2 boosters previously.

VMIPS gives the guidance that the outer limit on boosters is 6 weeks. It’s an arbitrary number to some degree but there needs to be a line in the sand somewhere and that seems reasonable. The modified live core vaccines, if given after 16+ weeks of age, would not require an additional booster technically.
