Payment plans are available for some cases but is dependent on the discretion of the doctor and management. Clients must apply for Scratch Pay and CareCredit prior to their appointment. If they are approved for Scratch Pay or Care Credit, they must use those forms of payment. Clients are required to pay an appointment deposit and be prepared to pay the total cost of the visit at the time of service.
- Payment plans are available for clients when the patient has a good long-term prognosis, and this decision is at the discretion of the doctor and management.
- The client needs to be in good financial standing with the OHS - all prior invoices paid in a timely manner.
- Ongoing treatments for chronic conditions cannot be added to a payment plan.
- Initial screening diagnostics that include X-rays and in-house lab work can be added to payment plans. Any additional diagnostics such as ultrasound or reference lab testing will need to be paid in full at the time of service.
- Total balance needs to be below $1000.
- Payment plan needs to be paid off in 4 months.
- Spay & Save is not eligible for payment plans and needs to be paid in full prior to visit.
- Balances cannot be added to an existing payment plan until the amount owed is below $100, with exceptions for urgent procedures.
- Exceptions to these policies can be approved by management for end-of-life care.
